Turner Helps Feed Racine’s Elderly and Disabled by Donating Golf Winnings

MADISON, WI – State Representative Robert L. Turner has donated $400 in prize money to Racine’s Hub of Senior Services. The Hub of Senior Services provides and delivers meals to the elderly in Racine. Turner recently participated in the 8th Annual Legislative Charity Challenge, a golf tournament for legislators held in the Wisconsin Dells. Participating legislators are given a portion of the prize money to donate to local charities. Sixty percent of the proceeds are divided among members on the winning team, and members of the losing team share forty percent.

Turner will present his winnings to Pearl Behrend, President of the Racine Hub of Senior Services. “The Hub of Senior Services makes wonderful contributions to our community, and I know they will put this donation to good use,” said Turner. Representative Turner has donated his golf winnings to this group for several years.
