Loomis Institute of Enzyme Nutrition
Digestive Health Specialist Certificate
Madison The Educational Approval Board (EAB) has approved the Loomis Institute of Enzyme Nutrition to award a Digestive Health Specialist Certificate for health care practitioners successfully completing the 52-hour program on enzyme nutrition. The Institute is based in Madison and serves students throughout Wisconsin. It has plans to establish a teaching location in the Milwaukee area, as well as other cities like San Francisco, Denver and Hartford, Connecticut.
"After studying the theoretical work of Edward Howell, M.D., the food enzyme pioneer, I began my own clinical investigations in 1980," stated Howard F. Loomis, Jr., D.C. "My clinical work led me to develop a system to recognize and correct food enzyme deficiencies."
"Our program teaches chiropractors, nurses, medical doctors, and other health care practitioners to use a comprehensive system of diagnostic techniques to determine the hidden causes of a patient's symptoms," said Dr. Loomis.
Because the EAB approves private postsecondary schools, we often authorize schools that are at the cutting edge of innovation," according to David Dies, Executive Secretary of the EAB. "The Institute of Enzyme Nutrition will offer health care practitioners a unique approach to solving health problems through the use of enzyme nutrition."
The Educational Approval Board is an independent state agency responsible for protecting Wisconsin's consumers by regulating and monitoring for-profit postsecondary schools; out-of-state, non-profit colleges and universities; and in-state, non-profit institutions incorporated after 1991. The EAB currently oversees more than 120 schools serving more than 15,000 adult students.
