Subject: Message from the Governor's Office and Capitol Police
As per Capitol Police:
What should I do if I open a letter and discover a suspicious substance?
- Remain calm. Do not panic.
- Put the letter down and leave it undisturbed.
- Inform others in the area that you have a suspicious substance and that Capitol Police should be called and informed.
- Wash your hands thoroughly and then wash your face thoroughly.
- Wait for the police to arrive and follow their instructions.
- All other people in the area should refrain from touching the object, but should wait for the police to arrive to give additional instructions.
